This project provided a gas combustion system and low-NOx retrofit solution for the boiler room of a large residential community in Zhengzhou, adapted to multiple large heating boilers to deliver a stable, clean, and efficient winter heating source for thousands of residents. Combining Zhengzhou’s environmental emission standards with the strict continuous heating requirements of severe cold regions in northern China, WEST customized a low-NOx gas combustion system using ultra-low NOx gas burners with staged combustion and flue gas recirculation technology, keeping NOx emissions stably below 30mg/m³ to fully meet local environmental standards. Equipped with an intelligent proportional regulation system, the equipment automatically adjusts operating conditions based on outdoor temperature and heating load to precisely match heating demand, significantly reducing energy consumption and maintenance costs. Since commissioning, the equipment has operated stably and reliably with uniform heating temperatures, ensuring residents’ comfortable heating while passing strict low-NOx emission inspections by environmental authorities. It has become a safe, efficient, and eco-friendly benchmark project for central heating in residential communities in the Central Plains, effectively improving heating quality and residents’ quality of life.
